The Qatar World Cup has been a seminal event for Qatar, a small country in the Persian Gulf. During the tournament, numerous tourists from across the globe visited the country to attend the event. Throughout the World Cup, a multitude of advertisements were disseminated in various forms within Qatar. These advertisements shared a common theme, featuring images that, consciously or unconsciously, resonated with the viewers and the audience. In the present study, researchers have employed the theoretical framework of Kress and van Leeuwen (2006) in the domain of social semiotics to analyze a selection of promotional images associated with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The analysis was conducted using qualitative methods and content analysis. The objective was to ascertain the conceptual elements that the images are attempting to convey to the audience. The statistical population of the study was selected from among the numerous promotional images obtained from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar using a purposeful sampling method. The findings indicated that the images not only represent Qatar's endeavors to preserve and promote its cultural and national identity but also showcase the country's economic prowess and infrastructural capabilities. Furthermore, the utilization of cultural symbols such as "Laab" enables Qatar to disseminate compelling and favorable messages regarding its cultural interactions and capabilities on a global scale, thereby enhancing its positive image among international audiences.

The present study aimed to identify national football team fans’ coping strategies against the team identity threat. The method was qualitative research in the form of content analysis and the statistical population included national team fans who followed the Football Federation's Instagram Page. Sampling was done purposefully and through in-depth interviews with 16 participants until theoretical saturation. Coding technique and NVivo software were used to analyze the data. The results showed national team fans’ coping strategies inclue two main themes: emotion-oriented and problem-oriented strategies and six sub-themes: distance from the team, reinforcement, past success and achievements, intra-group prejudice, optimism for the future, destructive behavior and explosion. The results have provided important applications in both theoretical and practical parts. On the one hand, this is the first study on national team fans’ coping strategies against the team identity threat and it has partially bridged the huge gap in this field in domestic and foreign research. On the other hand, it provides a coherent view and a full understanding of national football team fans’ coping strategies and a wide range of necessary measures to better manage these strategies.<br /> <br /> <br />

Achieving the desired future in professional sports in line with the development and use of its rich functions in different dimensions is very importent. The purpose of the current research is strategic foresight of professional sports in Iran. It was conducted with qualitative method and analytical strategy with content analysis tactic. Compatible scenarios were identified using the 14x14 matrix and wizard scenario software and then desirable future scenarios were intuitively prioritized, described and interpreted. 10 participants with sufficient knowledge and experience in the field of professional sports in Iran were selected using a targeted approach and snowball. Wizard scenario software was used for data analysis. The results suggested two main scenarios for the development of professional sports in Iran. For the first scenario, the necessary investment in professional sports should be made, professional sports should be realized in international institutions, specialized proficient human resources should be trained, professional sports should be dealt with and the government should pay attention to meritocracy and professional behavior. In the second scenario, the challenge of sustainable income generation of professional sports should be solved by laying the foundation of legal infrastructures, and finally, a suitable structure should be considered in accordance with the global approach for the development of professional sports in Iran. In general, it should be acknowledged that the key players of professional sports will enable the strategic development of professional sports through synergy. Based on the researches, in a general conclusion it can be suggested that a main method to stabilize the progress in professional sports in the future is to use new formulas for selling players in the transfer season or to create new formulas with strategy. Another practical suggestion in the direction of sustainable development in professional sports is the creation of income-generating places by clubs. This proposal does not mean only building or owning sports venues, but professional clubs can earn money by entering other areas, for example, by building several commercial complexes and renting them. Construction of sports and recreational facilities according to the specific geography of each ecosystem and renting them can also be a source of sustainable income for professional sports clubs in Iran and also lead to employment. It should be acknowledged that for sustainable development in professional sports, which has been costly and has faced major threats such as lack of real privatization and non-payment of TV broadcasting rights to clubs, the best way is strategic development. In the short term, it is possible to take a forward-looking view and examine new technologies. Probably, with the development of new technologies and the reception that these technologies have gained among all people, including fans of professional sports clubs, the best way to make a sustainable income is to provide services to the fans of clubs through the creation of mechanisms and infrastructures based on virtual space and technology. Because in the development of sports with policies, processes and actions, sports opportunities and experiences are created. Moving towards development in the existing complexities that constantly appear in different forms is not destined without having a plan that can cope with these complexities and environmental changes. One of the most important complex environments with countless and constantly changing uncertainties is sports environments. The effective factors in the development of professional sports in Iran includ: intermediaries, industries, media, government institutions, financial sponsors and shareholders, clubs, coaches, players, referees, Ministry of Sports and Youth, etc. Decision-makers, managers and CEOs of clubs can provide the possibility of strategic development of professional sports through synergy.
<OtherAbstract Language="FA">Achieving the desired future in professional sports in line with the development and use of its rich functions in different dimensions is very importent.
In spite of women’s effective presence in higher educational levels and their general qualifications, the existence of an invisible obstacle called glass ceiling in the country's sports management is very evident. The purpose of this research is studying the status of women's organizational growth in sports management levels. The method is descriptive-analytical and it is practical in terms of purpose. Library method and researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect data. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was calculated as 0.88. The statistical population included managers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, female vice-presidents of sports federations and boards, and female faculty members specializing in physical education. The research sample was equal to the population and was determined as a whole number. A total of 250 people were studied as a research sample. To analyze the data, the Kolmogorov Smirnov tests, the comparison of the mean of a population and the Friedman test were used. The results showed that, in general, the managerial development of women's sports in the country has confirmed obstacles, and the most important obstacles affecting the advancement of women in the managerial levels of the country's sports, in order of importance, were; Economic barriers, organizational barriers, cultural barriers, political barriers and social barriers. As a conclusion, women in three ways: empowerment, acceptance of management roles and entrepreneurship (knowledge and new opportunities) can pave the way for accepting management roles.

The study aims to develop a framework for promoting an environmental culture in sports based on sustainable development indicators. It utilized qualitative research methods, collecting data from human and information resources. Participants were purposefully selected to ensure theoretical saturation, and research tools included interviews and library study. The validity of the instrument was confirmed through legal and scientific standards.<br /><br />The final framework consists of six categories: causal conditions, underlying factors, intervening factors, the central phenomenon, strategies, and consequences. Causal conditions encompass the requirements and assumptions of a green and sustainable sports culture, while underlying factors include the context and capacity needed for such a culture. Intervening factors involve the challenges faced in establishing this culture. The central phenomenon is the green and sustainable sports culture, while strategies focus on approaches to promote it. Consequences refer to the results and functions of implementing the culture.<br /><br />The study concludes that implementing the framework will help reduce environmental problems, promote sustainable development, and improve educational and socio-cultural functions within sports. It will contribute to the overall development plans of the country and satisfy stakeholders and the sports community. The framework serves as a guide for officials to take effective measures toward an environmental culture in sports and ultimately achieve sustainable development in the field.
