Organizations in order to meet effectiveness need a change and adaptation to changing environment and certainly there would be a resistance to it and employees wont accept it easily. This research by investigating the relationship between these variables (personality traits and resistance to change) tries to predict resistance to change through the subscales of personality traits. For these purposes 284 teachers (151 female and 133 Male) were selected randomly as statistical sample and responded to Neo (1994), Personality traits and Agha janie,s resistance to change questionnaires with coefficient alphas of 0.79 and 0.81 respectively. In this research, descriptive and inferential statistics such as frequency tables, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation and stepwise regression analysis was used multistage, the data analysis software (Spss) was performed. The results of the study revealed a significant relationship between personality traits and its subscales with resistance to change, and among the big five personality traits teachers who were extroverted and open to experience had the least resistance to change and teachers with neuroticism personality trait had the most resistance to change.
