Strategic Factors of the Current Situation of the Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Federation in Iran and Providing Solutions for its Development based on the SWOT-QSPM Model

Abstract

The purpose of the current research was to strategically identify the current situation of the swimming, diving and water polo federation in Iran and to provide solutions for its development based on the QSPM - SWOT model of Iran's swimming sport. research according to the subject of strategic studies; In terms of practical purpose and in terms of method, it is of a descriptive type, the data collection of which has been carried out as a survey in two quantitative and qualitative ways. The statistical population was managers and experts in the field of swimming in Iran, and the sampling continued until reaching theoretical saturation in the analysis of the current state of swimming in Iran, and 20 people were considered as a sample using the snowball sampling method. The research tool was checklists made by the researcher, whose formal and content validity was confirmed by experts, and its reliability was also confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test of 0.86. The interview method was used to collect information. Based on the findings of the research, the Iranian Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Federation has five major goals, including 1- improving the quality of education, 2- generalizing swimming in society, 3- developing championship sports, promoting professional sports, 4- promoting and Consolidation of the position of swimming 5- To deepen and strengthen the spirit of chivalry and ethics, and the approach of the strategies of the Iran Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Federation was placed in a competitive position based on the matrix of position evaluation and strategic action, and in total thirteen strategies are in line with the general goals of the Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Federation. Iran's water polo was considered that the goal of developing a championship sport with 4 strategies and the goal of improving the quality of education with 3 strategies accounted for the largest share of Iran's swimming strategies.
