The purpose of this study was to survey methodological componants on Iranians journals of sport management. The present research is quantitative and biblio-metric.The statistical sample was equal to the statistical population which is consisted of all articles related to sports management in sports sciences journals of Iran (9 journals) until the end of 2012 (1391) (n=845). The articles were collected from the indexed databases of the journals and the data were extracted from and codified by the rewritten check lists of previous studies which were approved by experts. In addition, the selected components were categorized in groups and were analyzed based on time period and their distribution process in publication production enhancement. The results showed that increases in the number of publications being produced, have not affected the number of applied methods used in the studies. Furthermore, many articles which used recent applied methods were mostly published in highly-produced journals. It is worth mentioning that the quantitative aspect of the research was more prominent than the qualitative, descriptive and combinatory ones. Additionally, the research methods such as analytical, co-relational, and field studies gained the highest application while, many conventional methods in management and organizational studies were not that much applied. Most of the studies employed random selection or total counting methods. Therefore, generalizability from sample to the population is more valued rather than hypothesis testing. Moreover, 68% of the studies used questionnaire while, conevtional instruments such as observations and secondary data was only applied in a few cases. Due to the fact that many conventional methods in organizational and management researches are not used significantly in Iran’s sport management studies, it is suggested that appropriate research methods considering current studies of sport management should be adjusted or even created

The aim of this research was to study the role of socioeconomic conditions in the citizens' motivation for participating in public sports in Mashhad. The present study takes a descriptive, correlative and field approach. The statistical population consisted of the citizens of Mashhad, who were participating in public sports in the city's parks in Summer 2013. Since the population was unlimited, using the random cluster sampling, 4 out of 13 districts, namely Behesht, Ghadir, Koohsangi and Mellat Parks were chosen. Using Morgan table, 384 people were selected and discarding the corrupt questionnaires, of this number 359 questionnaires were analyzed. To gather the data on socioeconomic conditions we used Ghodratnama questionnaire (2012) and for the motivation variable we utilized the Hong questionnaire (2010), which was submitted to 12 sports management professors to confirm the content validity after being translated and localized according to our culture. The tool reliability was gained respectively through the Cronbach's Alpha (α=.83) and (=α.79). In order to analyze the data we used descriptive indicators and statistical tests Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Pearson Correlation and linear multivariate regression were used simultaneously in inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a positive significant relation between the socioeconomic conditions and the citizens' motivation for participation. The most important factors for the participation of citizens in public sports were social class, income rate and parents' education level.

The aim of this research was designing a conceptual model for Sports Research Application in Iran. The qualitative research method was selected with a systematic exploratory approach. The statistical population consisted of two parts: experts (professors, managers, etc.) and information resources (articles, documents, etc.). A statistical sample of sufficient numbers (theoretical saturation) was sampled by judgment (17 people and 72 documents). The research tools included the study of systematic libraries and structured exploratory interviews. The validity of the research was evaluated and confirmed based on the legal validity of the sample, the content validity of the instruments and the agreement between the correctors. The extracted conceptual framework included 4 general levels, 12 perspectives, 34 dimensions, and 116 key components. The four conceptual levels of the model include; it is an ecosystem (capacities), a system (capabilities), a structure (strategies) and a function (achievements). The four conceptual levels of the model include is; Ecosystem (Capacities of the Scientific System, Development of the Sports System and Scientific Developments in International Sports), System (executive capabilities, industry, sports science system), Structural (research management, resource provision, research services and research development), and functional (usability, scope and consequences of application). Based on the results of research management in the field of sports it is suggested that the application of sports research be defined as a systemic and strategic flow and at the same time to improve the applicability of sports research to build capacity in the scientific, executive, industrial and social environment of sports.

Identifying the behavioral traits of Sport bettor is an effective strategy to predict the tendency to future betting. The purpose of this paper is designing structural model of elemental, behavioral and motivational traits in horse racing betting by mix method. For this purpose, an exploratory mix method in qualitative phase (30 people) by means of cognitive sampling and a quantitative phase (250 people) was employed by a snow fall sampling. To data collection, researcher-made questionnaire with three subscales of elemental, behavioral and motivational factors was used as five-point likert scales. Results of factor analysis showed that in elemental cub scale, Conscientiousness (β=0.65) and agreeableness (β=0.57), in behavioral sub-scales, numeric interest (β=0.79) and Impulsiveness (β=0.68) and in motivational sub-scales, money (β=0.84) and escape (β=0.62) were main components to explain the path mode. In addition, marring and experienced bettors were more likely to betting. Therefore, preparation of appropriate profiles of the behavioral traits of bettors, in addition to the role of deterring the destructive cultural and social consequences, is an effective strategy in sports marketing sector based on identifying the need assessment of personality traits

The aim of this study was to examine the six - factor factorial structure of the Behavioural Regulation in Sport Questionnaire in college sport. 503 student athletes (265 female and 238 male) who membered as Urmia college sport teams were selected by cluster random sampling. The exploratory factor analysis results determined 6-factor models for the structure of the BRSQ-6 with 70.29% of total variance. The confirmatory factor analysis showed acceptable goodness of fit indices for the data. Also, the significant positive relationship of autonomous dimensions and negative relationship of controlling dimensions of BRSQ-6 with task-oriented goal orientation and intention to sport continue, confirmed the concurrent validity. The items for all sub-scales have a high internal consistency above 0.80 of Cronbach's alpha. Overall, the findings suggest that BRSQ-6 is a valid and reliable measurement for assessing sport motivation regulations in college sport.
