Presenting a model of factors affecting sports volunteer tourism in Iran

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to provide a model of the factors affecting sports volunteer tourism in Iran, this is a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population includes all sports volunteers who were in the world and international competitions of various disciplines as the head of the general administration of sports and youth of the provinces and cities in 2017 and 2018. In this research, 387 people were selected as samples by non-probability sampling method. compilation tool; The questionnaire was provided to the participants online. To examine and analyze research hypotheses, structural equation method was used using Pls software. The results showed that the general needs of volunteer tourism have an effect on the overall satisfaction of their activities in the field of sports events. Also, satisfaction with management methods and the level of involvement in volunteer tourism activities has an effect on the overall satisfaction of their activities in the field of sports events. In addition, overall satisfaction with volunteer tourism has an effect on the intention to perform volunteer activities for sports competitions to others and for sports events in the future. Overall satisfaction with volunteer tourism also has a positive effect on the intention to visit the host city of the sports event. And finally, the level of involvement in volunteer tourism activities, the effect of public needs and satisfaction with volunteer tourism management methods does not have a moderating effect on overall satisfaction with volunteer tourism.
