Abstract
Women's football is rapidly gaining popularity and attracting investor attention. This study aims to design a paradigmatic investment model for women's football in Iran. A qualitative research method was employed using grounded theory approach with Strauss and Corbin's strategy. The statistical population included experts in women's sports, policymakers, and sports consultants. Non-probability sampling with maximum diversity was applied, and the sample size was determined based on theoretical saturation at 13 individuals. Data was collected through open-ended interviews, and validity was assessed using criteria such as prolonged engagement and constant comparison. Data reliability was calculated using the intra-coder agreement method with two coders and the participation of a sports management specialist, and with a 90% rate, the reliability of the coding was confirmed. The findings demonstrate that causal factors including participation motivations and goals, along with contextual factors such as policies and planning, play a fundamental role in shaping the core phenomenon of investment in women's football. Strategies such as media support and commercial sponsorships act as reinforcing mechanisms for this investment, while intervening factors such as cultural and infrastructural dilemmas can act as challenges in this path. The ultimate consequences of these investments include far-reaching impacts in economic, social, cultural, and international spheres, which can strengthen the position of women's football in Iran both domestically and internationally. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of investment in women's sports and can serve as a reference for decision-makers and policymakers in this field.
