Abstract

Based on the importance of the private sector as one of the variables of the research and the growing trend of privatization in sports and the government's special attention to this category, we are dealing with the privatization of Iranian sports with an eye on the future. The statistical population included heads and experts of sports venues of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The method of conducting this research was a combination of qualitative and quantitative.In the qualitative part, an open questionnaire and the ground theory method were used, and the sampling and selection method was such that research was done on the sports complexes that have more different sports fields than other sports complexes under the ownership of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. be active in it.. The findings of this research showed that the challenges of privatization in Iranian sports can be divided into six general categories.which respectively legal and legal challenges, management and structural challenges and economic and financial challenges are ranked first to third in importance and infrastructural and technological opportunities are the most important opportunities for privatization and after that, international opportunities and Cultural and social opportunities are ranked second and third. Overall, the results of this research showed that despite the existence of many challenges, there are also significant opportunities for privatization in Iranian sports.
