Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the motivations and reasons of non physical education graduate students that continued their education in postgraduate physical education course. Research method was descriptive. The statistical society of research was physical education scientific boards of the universities of Tehran that were teaching in 2009-2010 educational courses. The numbers of statistical society were 110. The sample of scientific board was 70 persons that selected randomly from 5 universities (Tehran, Tarbiyat Modares, Tarbiyat Moalem, Allame Tabatabayi and Shahid Beheshti). 46 persons of samples were participated in this research. The research tool was questionnaire that their reliabilities and validities were conformed through the scientific methods. The analysis of data was done with factor analysis test. The results of research were shown that interest was the most important factor to choose the educational disciplines. Teacher advises and interest to a particular teacher was the other important factors. The most important reasons of non physical education graduate students to select the postgraduate physical education course were the ease of postgraduate physical education test and facility of continued the educational course to PhD.
We suggest analyzing all aspects of situation and redesigning the postgraduate test and course of physical education, so that selected the most qualified person to studying in postgraduate physical education course.
