Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a conceptual model of performance management of the Iranian Student Sport Federation. In this applied research, qualitative method with inductive approach through theoretical saturation with experts has been used. Interview data were analyzed using Maxqda12 Software and thematic analysis. In the three stages of descriptive coding, interpretive coding and integration, 365 codes, 107 descriptive themes, and 16 interpretive themes were produced that were eventually integrated into the conceptual model of performance management in the Student Sport Federation. The model consists of three sections: Proponents (enablers), processes, and dimensions (results) that were rated and scored by the focus group method. The reliability of the research was confirmed by various methods. The model created in a template can help federation officials and staff move toward the goals of the federation, and monitor their success or failure in federation programs at any time and demonstrate appropriate response to enhance or improve performance.
